Cllr. Aidan Mathers

Aidan Mathers was born in the Meadow, is a family man and a father to three daughters.

He’s a lifelong Community and Republican activist and has worked in the Newry Sinn Féin office,
supporting workers and families from all backgrounds for over 30 years.

Aidan is passionate about Newry and the surrounding area; he feels that his next natural step is
representing these communities as their Sinn Féin councillor.

Sinn Féin have a strong record of delivery in Newry, standing up for Daisy Hill, securing millions in
funding for city regeneration and supporting our local communities.*
