Cllr Brian Harte

Brian Barney Harte is a proud Strabane man, raised in the Curlyhill, where he currently lives. He received his early education at Barrack Street PS and Omagh CBS.

He worked as a plasterer by trade until a serious accident on the notorious A5 changed his life. He started 3rd level studies with the Open University and University of Ulster Magee. He acquired a BA Honours Degree in Irish History & Politics, Post Graduate Diploma in Computing & Information Systems, and Postgraduate Certificate in Technology Management.

He currently works for a global IT company in Derry as a Technical Services Expert. He currently holds the position of Vice Chair on the board of governors of Gaelscoil Uí Dhochartaigh, a member for the last 24 years. He was also Chairperson of the Riverine Community Forum.
