Cllr Ciaran Beattie
Councillor Ciaran Beattie has served on Belfast City Council from 2013 and has been the Sinn Féin Belfast Council Group leader since 2017.
Born and raised in the Beechmount area, Ciaran is a lifelong community activist and hardworking elected representative. He has worked alongside local Boxing clubs, GAA clubs, football clubs, and community organisations to create positive opportunities for our young people across West Belfast.
Ciaran is passionate about the regeneration of the Falls area, having secured major investment for the regeneration of Beechmount Avenue, in addition to the regeneration of St James’ Community Farm.
Ciaran is committed to securing more employment opportunities with better wages and fairer working conditions, building more social and affordable homes, and advancing the conversation to build a new and united Ireland.
