Cllr Séanna Walsh

Séanna Walsh is married with three grown up children and 5 young grandchildren.

He is a lifelong Sinn Féin activist, dedicated to delivering for local people and working for a new Ireland.

Séanna was imprisoned in Long Kesh as a teenager where he developed a friendship and comradely bond with Bobby Sands. On re- lease, Séanna and Bobby worked together developing Republican politics in the Twinbrook area.

He has played a leading role in local campaigns and has been a leader of change across the Colin area. Séanna has been to the fore in transforming the role played by the Irish language in Belfast City Council.

He is a hardworking, effective and campaigning Councillor for the Colin area on Belfast City Council since 2015, working every day to develop the area.
