Mary Lou McDonald announces new team of Sinn Féin junior spokespersons
18 February 2025
Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald TD has this morning announced the party’s new team of junior spokespersons.
Ms McDonald said:
“I am delighted to announce what is a very strong, talented and dynamic team across 16 portfolios of serious importance. Our junior spokespersons will work closely with the Sinn Féin frontbench team in offering policies and solutions to make life better for people and in relentlessly holding this government to account at every turn.
“I believe we have the right blend of experience and new perspectives for this team to have a real and positive impact in the time ahead. All of the portfolios are critical to delivering progress and we’re responding to growing challenges by appointing spokespersons with specific responsibility for carers, for urban regeneration, and for Dublin.
“Our job is to ensure we build the alternative to perpetual Fianna Fáil-Fine Gael led governments and our team of junior spokespersons will play a vital role in articulating our vision of a better future for everyone.
“I have no doubt that they will hit the ground running as we continue to work for a fair, equal and united Ireland in which workers, families and communities come first.”
