Cathal Mallaghan MP
Cathal Mallaghan was a councillor for 13 years. He was a former Chairperson of Mid-Ulster Council and is the Sinn Féin party group leader. He works closely with everyone across Mid-Ulster to deliver for all. Cathal has a wealth of experience in planning and has worked across all the committees of council. He has considerable knowledge of the boardroom having had numerous public appointments in Libraries, the Housing Executive, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Housing Council, the Northern Local Commissioning Group Health and Social Care, and the Irish Central Border Area Network. He takes a serious interest in community development and played a key role in the Connecting Pomeroy Project investing £7m into the village creating community infrastructure. He works closely with community groups to secure funding and support to provide first class services for the people of Mid-Ulster.
