Cllr Áine McCabe
Councillor Áine McCabe was born and raised in the Blackmountain DEA area. She is married with two grown-up children, Fionnuala and Declan.
Áine has been a Councillor for the Andersonstown area for the last 2 years, working with party colleagues to improve and regenerate the area.
In 2011 former Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness appointed Áine as his Special Advisor working on a range of topics such as women’s issues, children and young people issues and older Person’s matters, and in 2016 she was appointed Sinn Féin’s Political Manager for the Assembly.
Áine is a community activist, having worked within the West Belfast community sector for over 20 years, and currently works as Féile an Phobail’s Development Manager.
