Cllr Martin McColgan

Marty and his partner Marion have lived in Omagh their entire lives, they have two children and three grandchildren.

He served as a Councillor from 2005-2019, serving twice as Council Chairperson.

Marty played a key role in the campaign to demilitarise the British military bases in Omagh that created the opportunity for the Strule Education Campus and delivery of the Strathroy Link Road.

Marty has been a community activist for over 30 years and played a leading role in the community response to Covid. He is the Chair of LAST Sure Start which he believes should be available to all parts of the town.

As a Councillor, Marty works hard for Omagh as part of a strong Sinn Féin team.
