Cllr. Sean McGlinchey

Seán Mc Glinchey is a lifelong republican and community activist who has been to the fore of many campaigns such as community safety.

Sean has been a councillor for 15 years, during which he has delivered 3 phases of social housing with adaptations for special needs families, new sports facilities and bowling green in the Curragh Road and £90,000 for walkways at Dungiven Castle.

Seán’s proudest moment was securing nearly £12m of funding for the new Rossmar School in conjunction with Cathal Ó hOisín and John O’Dowd Minister for Education in 2016, as well as other new build schools, expansions and cultural facilities.

Seán works tirelessly as a Councillor and Sinn Féin activist for the benefit of his local.
